New Location Reccee

The Night Club ESCAPE was not happy with me filming with my Canon Camera but allowed the use of mobile devices to record such as the iphone.

New Location recce

There is a good oppurtunity to film in Holland as I have posted on a previous Diary entry.
I have looked at certain locations to film and have highlighted certain ones.

Liam's House: Used for the starting scene where close up of phone is seen.
Taxi: On the way to the airport.
Gatwick Airport: I have contacted reception and they said I can film as long as long as it is not profitable.
On the plane: Electronic equipment must be turned off when told to do so.
Amsterdam Airport: Just to show arrival briefly
Van gough Hotel: Permission to film in room but not in stairway or reception
Escape Night Club: Yet to ask

Here is a video of Escape Night club, It looks like the perfect location to shoot my final scene as the lighting looks pretty good.

An improvement to my music video?

After reconsidering my storyboard I chose to take advantage of the fact that I am going to Holland. After researching the area that i will be residing in I realised that this would be a much more appropriate location for my video shoot than my original idea. I am therefore going to take the same video concept but incorporated it into a bigger and better location!
Instead of having my video shot on the bus and end up in a house party, I will be shooting my video on the airplane and ending up in a famous night club!

Diary

It has taken us a while to get to the airport and I am using my mobile to update my progression on the filming as I won't be able to be near a computer for the journey.
I am going to take a few shots of me entering the airport and going up the escalators, a lot of these shots will be shot by my camera men and will be of my main character, although we will be holding lots of luggage I think they can still do a very good job.
It is quite cold at this moment in time but I think we can use this to our advantage as the snow can really bring things like roads and pavement to life as it isnt something we see everyday here in England.

Diary

I arrived at my first location where we will film the opening scene.
Even though I planned to have an hour slot to film the first scene I had to take up 30 minutes of my time teaching one of my cameramen what shots are what and how to hold the camera. This was quite important as no matter how good the camera is it can still look unproffesional if the camera is shakey.
